Types of dentures

Dentures can be categorized into two main types: full dentures and partial dentures. Depending on your condition, both full and partial dentures can be designed to be removable or can be fixed in your mouth.

Complete dentures (full dentures)

A complete denture or prosthesis is placed instead of a complete arch of the tooth. It is designed to fit well on the gums and jawbone.

Complete dentures are used in cases where all the teeth have fallen out. If you have to pull your teeth before making dentures, you need to wait several weeks or even several months for the gums and jawbone to heal before installing the dentures.

Advantages of complete dentures:

They restore the normal appearance of teeth. No space is left between the teeth, and they do not leave the place of any fallen tooth empty. They are not easily seen and no one will notice that they are artificial. They can be removed for cleaning.
